Payments
Entries will only be confirmed after payment has been made. All entries must be paid in advance by electronic banking.

How to make a payment
Bank Account Details:  Please note the unusual name of the bank account.  It really is all typed in wrong but has been impossible to correct so far!  
Please enter it exactly as shown below.

Refunds
Cancellation by Pilot: Any pilot who cancels their registration for an event will be given a refund as follows: 

  • Cancellation date more than 30 days before the competition start date : 50% refund 
  • Less than 30 days before the competition start date. No refund

The following caveat applies: Any pilot unable to compete through unforeseeable circumstances beyond their control should email us at hgcompspanel@gmail.com as soon as possible. Any refund, if appropriate, will be at the discretion of the Panel. Supporting evidence may be required.

Cancellation by the HG Competitions Panel:  In the event the British Hang Gliding Competitions Panel deem it necessary to cancel, relocate, or reschedule the competition you will be entitled to a partial refund. This will be on the scale as follows: 

  • Up to 30 days before the competition start date : 100% less a £20 admin charge 
  • Between 30 and 7 days before the competition start date: 75% refund
  • Less than 7 days before the competition start date: a lesser percentage to be determined. This lesser percentage will be the balance of funds once any costs incurred by the British Hang Gliding Competitions Panel have been deducted. 
  • After the start of the competition, any refunds will be at the sole discretion of the British Hang Gliding Competitions Panel. 

The British Hang Gliding Competitions Panel will not be liable for any costs incurred by anyone attending, or intending to attend the event, or any consequential losses arising from the cancellation, relocation, or rescheduling of the event.
